Why choose JWS Property Consultancy?
Because, JWS offers a service that stands out from the crowd. Here's why.
A survey that meets your needs
No two buildings are the same. Houses which appear identical will almost certainly have been maintained in different ways. The inspection required for an individual property depends partly on its age and size, but other factors need to be taken into consideration. Similarly, no two clients are ever the same.
That's why JWS Property Consultancy does not have any fixed tariffs. But you can rest assured that your quotation will offer exactly the right level of service for your needs as well as value for money. It will be agreed after a full discussion about the character of the house and its apparent condition, and after listening to your concerns.

A personal approach
Buildings are designed, constructed, inhabited, maintained, and bought and sold by people. So it's vital to see the individuals behind the process. I take a personal, friendly approach, not only in my dealings with clients, but also with agents and – if I meet them – the vendors. They may be understandably nervous about the survey and its outcome, and I will always endeavour to put them at their ease whilst gathering information.
A building survey report is not always an easy read, but you will not be left on your own with it! I will be able to draw your attention to the critical points (and explain what can safely be ignored), fully explain the implications, and advise on possible courses of action and outcomes.
And whilst terms and conditions have to meet certain legal requirements, these and all JWS documentation are in plain English: clear and jargon-free.

Local knowledge
After studying in Cambridge, I worked in various locations in the UK and abroad, but have now been back in the area for many years and have lived both in the city and in a few of the surrounding villages. I have a good knowledge of the different areas of Cambridge and of the major towns in the region, as well as an understanding of the surface geology and rivers. I am also familiar with local employment sectors and the requirements of employers, newcomers and commuters.
Environmentally friendly
I'm concerned about the whole environment – not only buildings. To save resources, your survey will be sent as a pdf file for viewing on screen or printing at your own convenience. I will then donate the saved cost of printing to an environmental charity. But if you prefer, I can provide a bound hard copy. The choice will be yours.
